JUNIOR RESULTS Early 2023

January 2023 marked the start of the DLTC Winter League Competition. Shankill Tennis club entered 15 teams across the ladies and men’s competitions from class 8 to class 2. We had multiple teams reach the play-offs and had two teams promoted. Unquestionably the highlight being that Shankill is now a Class 1 Club. Huge Congratulations to our ladies first team who were promoted to class 1 in a Shankill first. They beat Trinity 1 in the semi-finals of the playoffs to gain promotion. Well done also to our ladies class 8 and mens class 6 and 7 teams who have all been promoted. Well done to our club captains Brenda, Marija and Tommy on these excellent results.

There was also the Easter Cup which has been running through Spring 2023. We hosted the finals and playoffs for third and fourth in which we had a Shankill team in both. They had to brave the elements but lost two tight ties placing Shankill second and fourth in this year’s Easter Cup Competition.
