Dear members,

We are happy to report that the office is open in a limited capacity. The hours are as follows;

Monday to Thursday 9 am to 1 pm and 6 pm to 10 pm. Outside of these times, the office is closed.

This will allow the indoor courts to become available to book on Club Manager during these times. Payment for courts and lights (including outdoor courts as the evenings get shorter) can be done via the office.

Please remember that you can now pay ‘contactless’ at the office and this is our preferred method of payment. We also encourage any outstanding membership and coaching payments to be made to the office now that it is open.

Note: The toilets and clubhouse remain closed for the time being as part of our COVID safety protocols. Keep an eye on Club Manager for when indoors becomes available to book.

We would also like to remind you that under our COVID guidelines, an adult is still required to supervise U16s when on court. This role is not fulfilled by the office.

The club would like to thank volunteers who have supervised and provided guidance to members (and the general public) regarding the guidelines. With the office now open, we will focus on providing support during the afternoon period (Mon – Thurs, 1 pm – 6 pm), Fridays and the weekend. If you can help, even if it’s just for an hour or two, please email secretary@shankilltennisclub.com, where you will be given access to the supervision rota and you can select times that suit you. Your help is invaluable and much appreciated.

It is great to see so many of you enjoying tennis again, both singles and doubles. While it is great to be able to meet up, we need to remind you that when you are finished, you need to leave the tennis club and avoid congregating. Keep following all the guidelines re hygiene and sanitisation.

Ensure that your Club Manager bookings are accurate in terms of who is playing as this is vital for contact tracing purposes.
